Established in 1928
Max and Ida Steinhart owned and operated the Indian motorcycle dealership in Tacoma, Washington in the mid 1920’s. Max can be seen front and center in the photo above wearing a three piece suit and leather leggings. In 1928, the Steinhart’s decided to branch out and founded Indian Cycle Delivery as a way to sell motorcycles to enterprising young couriers.
Legend has it that Ida took a liking to the charming 18 year old Jack Laycock and in 1940 loaned him a motorcycle. In 1946 Jack purchased two used Indian motorcycles and the business from the Steinharts for $1,200.00. In 1962, Andrew Laycock Jr. joined M C Delivery as a truck washer. Over the years, Andrew has held many positions including driver, dispatcher, sales, operations manager, and is currently the company’s CEO.
Since its beginnings as Indian Cycle Delivery Service, M C Delivery has established a reputation for dependability, efficiency and has solidified its reputation as the most reliable same-day carrier in the Puget Sound region. Whether your requirements are for day-after-day package distribution, LTL shipments, outsourced service, or urgent “rush-rush” courier missions, M C Delivery is ready for your call!
